Volunteers are the members and interested people who make our Association such a great resource for parents of multiples. Sometimes people think 'I don't have time to volunteer' but every member can support our Association on so many levels. Here are ways in which you as a member can help support the work this Club does: |

|
ATTEND FUNCTIONS |
|
| |
|
Sometimes there is a lot of behind the scenes work prior to a function being held and the Committee just love to see members turn up and enjoy it. If you and your family can attend a function that your Committee has organised this is a great way to say thank you to the Committee for the work they have done. |
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
|
Perhaps if it is a big function you may be able to assist with some small part of the organising prior to the events, help at at the actual event and even helping tidy up after the event is always appreciated. |
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
|
Functions are organised for and on behalf of members so therefore the Committee need your help to ensure every aspect of the function is a success. |
|

|
|
| |
|
3P'S (PARENTS, PRAM AND PLAY) |
|
| |
|
3P's is a great way to support the Club. The few dollars you pay to attend each week ensures that the Club can keep paying the hall hire, providing tea/coffee and of course keep buying new toys. |
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
|
How can you volunteer at 3P's? You can help with the setting and packing up of the toys, get a drink for a parent whose multiples need them, help a parent whose babies might need a cuddle and watching out for the other children. These are all simple things we can do and make 3P's a much better experience if everyone helps. |
|

|
|
|
| |
|
Once a month members fold the Association newsletter at 3P's. Perhaps you can assist with the folding, sticky taping, addressing or stamping? Or perhaps, help out by keeping an eye on the children outside or get a drink for a parent who is helping to do the newsletters. Years ago we use to have one dad who did this job on his own at home, it is much easier if everyone helps at 3P's to do this job as then the load is spread. |

SUBMIT A STORY FOR THE NEWSLETTER/WEBSITE |

Perhaps you would like to share your birth, feeding, preschool, or school stories with members.
Have you ever had a situation where one multiple is invited to a party and one (or two) isn't?
Have you travelled overseas with your multiples?
Why not write a short (or long) story about your experience with your multiples to share? |
|

|
| |
|
SUPPORT FUNDRAISERS |
|
| |
|
Participation in fundraisers is a really important activity as by participating in fundraising we don't need to put up the membership fees each year to cover the incidentals your membership fees don't cover. |
|
| |
|
Coordinating and/or attending fundraisers like Bunnings BBQ and Trivia Nights is really important. The Committee already do so much for the Association so if you can help out for an hour or so at an event like this they feel that they are being supported. |
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
|
ATTENDING MEETINGS |
|
| |
|
HKHMBA holds a monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of every month except December. |
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
|
Who attends? Mostly committee members who report back to the Association about what has happened over the last month within their role. |
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
|
Who can attend? All members are invited to attend the meetings and join in the conversation about what events or fundraisers are going to be held over the next few months. Bring a small plate of food to share and have a cuppa without your multiples around so that you can have a chat about the Association and life in general. Usually there are a lot of laughs and stories shared about what has been happening over the last month. It is a great way to get to know the Committee and how the Association works. |

ASSISTING POSITIONS |

|
Check out your latest newsletter! You need to be a financial member to hold an assisting position within the Club and these jobs are usually very small but very important to the Association. |

COMMITTEE POSITIONS |

| |
|
Check out your latest newsletter! You need to be a financial member to hold a Committee position within the Club. Some of these jobs are small while others do need a bit more of a time commitment but they are all very important to the Association. |
